Some more information

The Warrnambool BushWalkers is an incorporated non-profit organisation.  The club is mainly involved in bushwalking, walking, camping and hiking. Other activities we occasionally do include cycle touring, mountain bike riding, and canoeing. We have associated social activities such as a meeting most months on the second Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

This page has the answers to some of the questions we are rarely asked. Answers to the more common questions asked can be found pdfhere.

We're a little over 30 years old: Warrnambool Walkers Incorporated number A0012133Z was registered on 17/12/1986. We changed our name to Warrnambool Bushwalkers in 2013. Our financial year is from November to October, with our AGM being on the second Tuesday of November. The small committee that runs the club usually meet before the monthly club meeting. The 2018–19 Committee members are: Gwenda Turland, Rosalie Meadows, Coralie Ginn, Dina Selman, Mike Halls, Jim Finnerty, Lothar Satzke and Rob Cannon.

The Club is affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria and adheres to the Bushwalking Victoria Code of Conduct.

Our annual membership fee is $45. This includes an emailed monthly newsletter and Bushwalking Victoria affiliation and insurance cover. If you belong to another Bushwalking Victoria affiliated club, you can be an associate member for $20 or, if you just want to keep track of what we do, you can receive our newsletter electronically for $5.

The best way to see what Warrnambool bushwalkers are like is to come on one of our walks on our activities program. Indeed our free temporary membership means you can come on up to three walks and be covered by Bushwalking Victoria insurance. Contact our Secretary and ask to receive some newsletters for free.
